Why am I doing this?

Italy... It's a place I've known my whole life, yet it's taken me years to truly see it. I've spent so much of my time abroad, studying, searching for answers in distant places. I thought I'd find what I was looking for far from home. I've seen the world, experienced its beauty and diversity. But I've also realized that I've been searching for something, something that's been right here all along.

Italy... it's a land of contradictions. We have a rich history, breathtaking landscapes, and a culture that's the envy of the world. But we also face problems, challenges that need solutions. And I, like many of my generation, realized that I've grown distant from it all.

I've missed out on so much. I've missed the laughter of friends, the warmth of family, and the simple joys of life here in Italy. So, I decided to embark on this challenge. Twenty marathons in twenty regions in twenty days. Not just to test my limits, but to reconnect with my homeland, to understand its strengths and weaknesses, and to be a part of building it back up.

This journey is not just about the marathons; it's about the people, the culture, the stories, and the connections. It's about finding the answers I've been seeking right here, in the heart of Italy.

I've been abroad to learn, but now I'm home to grow.

The Itinerary

The itineraries for Project Venti have been meticulously crafted to showcase the diverse landscapes, cultures, and histories of Italy while providing a challenging yet rewarding running experience. From the sun-drenched shores of Sicily to the majestic peaks of the Alps, each leg of the journey offers a unique perspective on Italy's rich tapestry.

Throughout the 20-day journey, strategic checkpoints have been established to ensure safety, provide logistical support, and offer opportunities for rest and replenishment. These checkpoints serve as anchor points along the route, where the team can regroup, refuel, and recharge before pressing onward.

At each checkpoint, a dedicated support team will be on hand to provide essential services such as medical assistance, hydration stations, nutritional support, and logistical assistance. Additionally, the checkpoints offer opportunities for interaction with local communities, fostering connections and camaraderie along the way.
